Catch and Count by Orchard Toys is a fantastic game for pre-schoolers. We have played it endlessly since receiving it as a Christmas present. Spin the Octopus to find out how many bubbles to count, count your bubbles to add fish to your jar…. But watch out, there’s a shark about.
This really encourages counting, hand and eye co-ordination and taking turns. The illustrations on the cards are fun and vibrant. This is strongly recommended for all round fun.
The Snowman is a Christmas classic – a much-loved book and film, enjoyed by generations of children and their parents. And this XXL 100 piece puzzle shows The Snowman, Billy and The Snowdog meeting up with Father Christmas at the North Pole. It also includes lots of The Snowman’s equally “frosty” friends, including a snowy geisha, a cowgirl and a character who looks a lot like Oliver Hardy.
They are all gathered around a brightly-lit Christmas tree, whilst in the background we can see pretty fairground stalls and snow-laden trees. The whole scene is surrounded by a pretty border of presents backed by a very stylish tartan pattern. Puzzle measures 49.3cm x 36.2cm when completed.
This 100 piece jigsaw provided a lot of entertainment for our two children. We all enjoyed piecing it together and then talking about all the different people and objects in this detailed puzzle.
Another fantastic puzzle from Ravensburger which really captures the magic of Christmas through the Disney characters. Even though our two children are quite young to complete the puzzle they really enjoyed helping and then naming all the characters.
We have just opened the Orchard Toys Pick and Mix People game and it is proving very popular with our two children. It teaches the little ones different people, for example a witch, a scarecrow and a policeman.
They have to concentrate to remember the correct parts of the body to create a “whole” person. We have had endless fun with this game. This game improves fine motor skills, memory and concentration whilst having endless fun.
