Our little ones love going on picnics, whether it is going to the park, Legoland or simply in our garden and this LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket encourages them to enjoy role play at home.
They lay out the little table cloth, have a plate each and share out the food. This encouraged them to learn what the food is, what shape it is and helps with their fine motor skills to place them in the correct shape within the plate.
The LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket is so colourful and inviting that it keeps them entertained for a long time. Once they have finished their picnic then they can tidy up and it helps that the picnic basket sings to them, and they can sing along to the songs. We use this toy with their Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Say Please Tea Set and then they can pour a cup of tea as well.
The Orchard Toys Police Car Puzzle has 30 pieces. Our son loves this puzzle, possibly his favourite. He can now piece it together on his own and then describes all the different police people and their vehicles.
This puzzle is different as it teaches the children that not only do the police drive in cars, they also have dogs, motorbikes, walk around on foot, horses and even helicopters.
Orchard Toys have really excelled in this puzzle as it really is teaching the little ones world understanding.
I have lost count how many times our son has pieced together this Orchard Toys Big Digger puzzle. Large, colourful and an inviting finishing picture keeps him interested long enough to complete this puzzle.
Our son talks about the workmen, large wheels, their yellow hats as well as quickly piecing it together.
Another interesting puzzle from Orchard Toys which is an interesting shape rather than rectangular.
Our son has had this puzzle since he was 2 years old, although the manufacturer recommendation is 3+. To start with we obviously helped him with piecing together this Orchard Toys Big Bus puzzle and we then spoke about who was on the bus, the driver and the description of various passengers.
After a few weeks he could piece it together himself quite a few months before he was 3. The large pieces are great for little hands, this encouraged him to start describing people and is fantastic for hand-eye co-ordination.
Our little girl has just started wanting to piece together this puzzle too, and it is great watching him trying to help her. A fantastic puzzle to start little ones interest with puzzles.
Encouraging your little ones to explore Play-Doh to the next level. This Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe Perfect Twist Ice Cream Playset is such fun, our two love this especially on a sunny day making their own ice cream and ‘selling’ it in their shop!
The Play-Doh does get mixed up but that can create even more fun. This Playset is very easy to use under adult supervision, and even easier to assemble.
